The Golden Opportunities
For anything urgent while you are travelling — a schedule change, transport, your hotel, or a problem on the ground — contact your group leaders directly. Their numbers are in the app under Guide → Your Trip → Contacts, and can be called or messaged with one tap.
Prayer times are calculated for your current location using the Jafari (Shia Ithna-Ashari) method, so Maghrib falls later than in Sunni calculations. This is intentional.
The times shown are the local clock time of the place they were calculated for. If your phone is still set to your home timezone, the app says so beneath the times — the times themselves are correct for where you are praying, and match the clock at the mosque.
If the location named at the top of the card is wrong, check that the app has location permission in your device settings.
The app updates itself within seconds of your group leader publishing a change, as long as you have a connection. You can also pull down on the Home or Guide screen to refresh.
Itinerary times are the local time where the group is, exactly as printed on your itinerary — 9:30pm means 9:30pm in Madinah or Makkah, not on your phone's home clock.
Once content has loaded, the itinerary, duas, guide, hotels and prayer times all work with no connection at all. Prayer times are downloaded a month at a time for exactly this reason.
The first time you open the app you will need a connection so it can download the trip content.
